Detective Jack Stratton is visited by a family member (one who he hasn't seen in years), asking him for his help in finding his sister (also, someone who Jack hasn't seen in years) and thus begins a mystery that is fraught with frustration, heartache, and, ultimately, danger. Although levels of creativity are at par with Books 1 and 2 (average) and there're no real surprises or twists in this linear story, technical details in most respects are excellent and environmental scene descriptions (a quality I look for in a zompoc novel) are right on the mark. It is worth your reading. I left this out when I had guests and it convinced at least one of them to watch the movie for visual effects alone. In recent years, brands that have worked with The Good have seen an average revenue increase in revenue of over 100%. I should return it but it was $4 and not worth the effort. Both books complement each other very well.
