The subtitle, A Novel in Documents, Based on the Life and Works of Lewis Michaux, Harlem Bookseller, indicates a work of fiction, but Nelson creates a beautifully entertaining and enlightening biography through focused and thorough research and first-person narratives. Incredibly readable. I am so grateful I found this guide and have found a new appreciation and love for the game. *Discount received in exchange for an honest review.
